The Parliamentary Under Secretary for International Development Mike Foster came to find out more about TCC during fairtrade fortnight. Chris Pilsbury Senior organiser said" It was a good opportunity to explain to the minister what TCC has been doing for the last 16 years in North East Wales and how we do it. The minister acknowledged that he was impressed by the work in Wrexham." Mr Foster listened to presentations from TCC, Christian Aid, Cafod and Ysgol Bryn Alyn.

walker Ray Gill over the border into Wales and then escorted Ray and 60
school pupils, as well as a samba band, from Glyndwr University to a
civic reception with the Mayor of Wrexham Cllr Arwel Gwynn Jones at
Trinity Church.

Wrexham Night Shelter Shines a Light
Ty Nos, the name for Wrexham night shelter,
opened on December 12th
2008 at the onset of one of the coldest winters in Wales for many
years. In the three months since that opening the shelter has provided a place
of warmth, food and security to 56 men and 10 women who might very well have
had to sleep rough.
