Community organising training

TCC regularly runs community organising training, designed to challenge participants to become more active in public life.  Sessions are interactive and cover building power, working with decision makers, and developing public relationships.

Throughout the training we ask participants to reflect on their own roles in public life, and to share their experiences of working in community.  This could be as a student, faith leader, or community group member.  We try and involve a wide range of people in the training, so that we get a breadth of experience, and there is an opportunity for participants to build relationships with people they might not usually meet.

Our residential training places are available free to TCC member groups, or at £150 for those from charitable organisations, and £250 for individuals/business representatives.  This includes all training, meals, and accommodation. Young people are welcome to attend, or we can organise courses specifically for children and young people.  Residential training has not been able to take place due to the pandemic, but we will update details of training dates and locations when they are confirmed.

Any TCC member group can arrange training tailored specifically for their group.  This can be as a residential, day, or weekly course.

We welcome training enquires from external groups and organisations.  Please contact us to discuss.
