A new 'super prison' is set to be built in Wrexham.  This is due to open in 2017, and will house 2,000 inmates, making it the biggest in the UK. 

 

TCC leaders have met with Ian Lucas MP and Police and Crime Commissioner Winston Roddick, keen to get the best outcome both for Wrexham and for the prisoners.  

 

Issues raised include:

• Living Wage jobs

• Welsh language provision

• Extra resources for the health board and police force.
